Chelsea No2 Wilkins shocks mouthy Inter Milan keeper Toldo

Chelsea No2 Ray Wilkins caught out mouthy Inter Milan reserves goalkeeper Francesco Toldo last week.

The People says Toldo's face was a picture when he unleashed a verbal onslaught at Wilkins on Tuesday.

Toldo obviously hadn't reckoned on Wilkins, who had spell at AC Milan in the mid-1980s, understanding every word - and was stunned when the Englishman hit back in ripe Italian.

The spat had Toldo's team-mate Luis Figo, who was sitting behind the dugout, in fits of laughter.

Wilkins did not see the funny side shortly afterwards when another outburst from the keeper was aimed in his direction.

Reverting to his native tongue, he told Toldo he wasn't impressed with what was being said and that he ought to be quiet ... or words to that effect.
