Chelsea captain Terry turning to AC Milan legend Maldini as role-model

Chelsea captain John Terry is modelling his current game on AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini.

The Chelsea defender, who may start on the bench against Bolton in Wednesday’s fourth-round Carling Cup tie, said: “I have spoken to the manager (Carlo Ancelotti) a few times about Paolo Maldini and what he did, the way he worked, his relationship with the other players.

“I’m always looking to learn and improve, and when a manager comes in like Ancelotti, I think I can learn an awful lot from him – he’s played and managed at the highest level."
