Chelsea boss Ancelotti wants Anelka, Cole on new deals

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti wants to secure Joe Cole and Nicolas Anelka to new deals.

The club are hoping the pair will sign new long-term contracts that would help them survive their transfer ban.

Didier Drogba, Ashley Cole, and John Terry have all signed new long-terms deals since the summer.

Ancelotti, who has recorded five straight wins since the start of the Premier League, now wants Anelka and Joe Cole to follow suit.

"I don't speak with the players about the contract," said Ancelotti. "But for me Joe Cole is a very good player and he has to stay in the club and so does Nicolas Anelka."
