Chelsea boss Ancelotti says Drogba can still get better

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti says Didier Drogba has plenty of years left in him.

Drogba is in career best form this season.

Ancelotti said: "Drogba is 32 but I've told him that Filippo Inzaghi scored two goals in the Champions League final when he was 35.

"So Drogba still has time to do the same and score two goals in the Champions League final."

The Drog was the Premier League's top scorer last season with 29 goals and has already netted six this term.

But Ancelotti said: "After 30, you have to improve and do more preventative work and training. That's very important.

"It's different being 30 to being 20 but Didier has focused on this and wants to maintain his power and physical condition.

"He didn't like to train and do things he wasn't the best at. For example if he needs to run he doesn't like doing that.

"But now we improve his strength, skill and speed with individual training sessions which he likes doing.

"He's a player with a strong personality but he's efficient - he scored a lot last year. He's focused and knows very well that he's one of the most important players in this team.

"He's not had a lot of injury problems during his career and I think he can stay at the top level for years."
