Chelsea boss Ancelotti: No Abramovich pressure to win Champions League

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti insists he's under no pressure to bring the Champions League to Stamford Bridge this season.

Ancelotti denies claims Blues owner Roman Abramovich is demanding the European Cup be won.

He said: “Roman Abramovich never said to me to win the Champions League. For him it’s not so different to win the Champions League or the Premier League.

“The first thing is to be involved in all the competitions. We want to win, we have a possibility to win, I don’t know what. For him it’s not so important to win Champions League.

“I don’t want to choose between them because we want to do our best. We want to prepare game by game because that is the only way to show our best.”

yes get rid of all the old and young average players, the only older players we must keep are Drogba and Lampard, the rest must go. Bring the wage bill down.

Ancelotti will not win anything this maybe the FA Cup only, but then again its not his team but an old guard that he inherited and they are still doing well. Next year he will have to prove he is the real deal.

Carlo has done a good job but he knows that to get our aging team to win it this year would be his greatest achievement in the game. He knows it is unlikely so he has prepared the ground in advance.
