Chelsea boss Ancelotti: Lampard best midfielder in world

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti rates Frank Lampard the best midfielder in the world.

Ancelotti left the likes of Andrea Pirlo and Ronaldinho at AC Milan to join Chelsea this season.

After victory over Birmingham City, the manager said: "His two goals showed he is the best running midfielder in the world.

"He has this fantastic quality to time his runs into the box.

"Because we use all the pitch to attack he is able to arrive in the penalty area and score many times."
