Chelsea boss Ancelotti happy to keep Shevchenko

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is happy for Andriy Shevchenko to stay after failing to offload him.

Sheva, on £130,000 a week, made a surprise appearance as a sub at Sunderland.

And Ancelotti says he still has a part to play - despite not picking him to start a single Serie A game in his final year as coach of AC Milan.

Ancelotti said : "Shevchenko is in better condition than last year. He had a physical problem when he first arrived at Chelsea but has overcome this and can put quality into the team."
