Chelsea boss Ancelotti: Anelka will keep goals flowing

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has no doubts that Nicolas Anelka will keep the goals flowing in Didier Drogba's absence this month.

France hitman Anelka, 30, has proved he can step in to the Drog's boots, scoring crucial goals in the Champions League while his strike partner was suspended.

Ancelotti even admitted he was shocked by just how good Anelka is after working with him.

The Blues manager said: "Anelka is a top striker with fantastic technical quality. He was very important in the last month as he put a lot of quality in this team.

"For me he was a surprise. I didn't know Anelka. As a man he is very good, very quiet and very calm.

"He has a strong personality. He doesn't show it but he has a lot of personality."
