Chelsea boss Ancelotti: Academy kids will be promoted next season
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is ready to back no less than FIVE academy players for next season's first team.
Owner Roman Abramovich is fully behind new Premier League rules on the number of home-grown players who must be included in a first-team squad.
And Ancelotti named the five who will get their chance next season as forward Fabio Borini, midfielder Nemanja Matic, striker Gael Kakuta plus defenders Patrick van Aanholt and Jeffrey Bruma.
The Italian said: "The only sure thing will be that there will be five players from the Academy in the squad next season.
"Some players will maybe move on. Some we will move. It's not because we don't have the money. It's because we want to give strength to our Academy.
"We have very good young players and this is the time to put them in the squad for next year. They are able to stay in Chelsea's squad."
