Chelsea’s senior players rally round Kakuta

Chelsea's senior players have rallied round Gael Kakuta after his penalty miss last night.

Kakuta, who has already made the headlines for the wrong reasons this season due to Chelsea receiving a transfer ban from FIFA over the manner of his signing from Lens in 2007, missed the deciding kick in Chelsea's Carling Cup defeat at Blackburn Rovers.

Blues goalkeeper Hilario said: "It's important for him to just think about the future and forget this. He likes to work hard and once he will be back in training today, I'm sure he will be okay."

I totally agree with ya Ballack has always bein a waste in our team.im sure he wus mad @ da coach bcs he wasnt restd lyk the other senior players

Everybody can miss a penalty (except maybe Lamps). It's nothing, Baggio, Baresi, Anelka, C. Ronaldo and so on, have all missed penaltys. It happens. It's how you react to it, that means something.

Surprised to see ballack missed a penalty ....he's not useless , think from now he deserves to come in at 75mins. mark .....he can play perfect with a slow team so we still need him .......hamsik and dzeco would be perfect fit for chels .....as for Kakuta the kid is brilliant , carlo will make him world class ...he needs to grow stronger mentally and physically .....we all know carling cup is nothing , let the others left sweat out for it ....we'll be chilling saving up our energy for bigger games , thank u
