Chelsea’s Cole cops abuse at Campbell’s wedding

Ashley Cole was booed when he arrived at the wedding of his ex-Arsenal teammate Sol Campbell, reports the Daily Mirror.

The Chelsea defender faced a hostile reaction as he arrived at St Andrew’s Church in Corbridge, Northumberland, where Campbell, was marrying interior designer Fiona Barratt.

Campbell and the bride were cheered but the crowd loudly expressed their anger at Cole over his England World Cup antics.

He angered fans last month when he allegedly texted friends, moaning: “I hate England and the people.”

An onlooker said: “He ignored the boos and walked straight into the church, but he didn’t look best pleased.”
