Cerezo, Gil Marin assure Resino over Atletico Madrid job

Abel Resino has been assured he will be in charge of Atletico Madrid next season.

AS says Atletico president Enrique Cerezo and director Miguel Angel Gil Marin both spoke with Resino to assure the coach he will keep his job should they qualify for next season's Champions League.

They urged that every effort be put into the game against Athletic Bilbao and not to worry about the future. If the team is in the top four he will continue. Even if they do not qualify for the Champions League, he could have options to continue.
