Celtic legend claims refs Rangers bias nothing new

Celtic legend Billy McNeill claims referees in Scotland have favoured Rangers over the Parkhead side for 50 years.

McNeill, who skippered Celtic to their European Cup win in 1967 and who later had two spells as manager, told the Scottish Sun: "Celtic have been suffering referee injustices against Rangers for 50 years.

"The big decisions have always gone against my club and in favour of Rangers. Nothing has changed.

"I felt that way as a player, during two spells as manager and now as a spectator.

"This season I've seen it in each of three derbies - and what happened at Ibrox on Sunday was as disappointing as any I've had to stomach.

"I believe that when it comes to players being red-carded and booked, Rangers have been more favourably treated than Celtic.

"Yes, we have been unfairly treated."

how can you call anyone stupid, you don't even know how to spell fenian. it's only to be expected from the knuckle-draggers that follow the sons of satan. there's no glory in cheatin. the establishment team will always win league titles by hook or by crook. usually by crook. tiocfaidh arla!

all excuses in my book... we have bigger problems than referees...we have a team managed by someone in Mowbray that is not comfortable in winning, its not in his make up...we have a team of very poor players! we got rid of ordinary players but replaced them with poorer players...also we lack Hartley and Robson types...Celtic get on with business and do not cheapen yourself by looking for excuses

Oh no not he old cosspiracy theory Billy BOY.

Get real, the refs decisions are looked at every angle, only an idiot would make wrong calls for any team.

It is a tough job and they will get some wrong.

Shame on You, irespected you as a player a great leader and captain, very sad to hear you speak this way. If refs helped rangers surely you would have never won 9 in a row?????
