Celtic getting clear run at Arsenal defender Campbell

Celtic boss Neil Lennon's hopes of landing Arsenal and England legend Sol Campbell have been boosted.

Sunderland were rated favourites for the veteran defender but have now made a major bid for Wigan's Titus Bramble, says the Scottish Sun.

Newcastle United have also now dropped out.

Campbell, 35, has been offered a two-year deal by Celtic on £35,000-a-week. He'll give his answer next week on his return from his honeymoon.
