Celtic boss Mowbray slams media after Falkirk win

Celtic boss Tony Mowbray hit out at the local media after their 2-0 win over Falkirk.

A Robbie Keane double took the Parkhead club back to within 10 points of Clydesdale Bank Premier League leaders Rangers, who also have a game in hand.

Most Hoop fans have given up on the title race but the Celtic boss is adamant that, although expectations are fading, there is not any less pressure on his players.

"If anything, there was more pressure on the team to get a result because, again, not all of you, but the way some of the Scottish media work, they like piling it on," he said.

"So we have to keep going and keep winning matches, that's what we do.

"There is no lack of motivation. There is no greater motivation than every time you pull on a Hoops' shirt.

"You should be 100% focused on trying to win because the supporters of the club come to support our team home and away and they deserve a performance.

"I thought they got a very professional performance."

Well I guess that everyone in Scotland is dissapointed by Celtic's title challenge, if it ever really existed.
