Celtic’s McDonald looking forward to Mowbray management

Celtic striker Scott McDonald is excited about getting the opportunity to work with Tony Mowbray.

The former West Brom boss has taken the reins at Parkhead which has delighted McDonald who is currently on international duty with the Socceroos in Melbourne.

"Everywhere Tony Mowbray has gone as a player and as a coach he's done well and he's well respected by all of the players he's played alongside and coached," McDonald said.

"From my point of view his arrival is a massive relief because it would have been a nightmare to start the new SPL season without a coach.

"Celtic fans want us to regain the title from Rangers but the first priority has to be to get the new manager on board with pre-season starting earlier than usual in July this year."
