Melbourne Victory was formed in 2004 as part of the A-league and has gone on to be one of the most successful teams winning honours such as 2 A-League Premierships, 2 A-league Championships, 1 A-league pre-season challenge cup, 1 QNI North Queensland Trophy and 1 Lord Mayors Cup. Melbourne Victory is currently managed by Ernie Merrick and is captained by Kevin Muscat. Melbourne has played its home games at Etihad Stadium and will share its home games with the new AAMI park in season 2010-11.
