Capello dislikes 'divers' but only up to a point!

England head coach Fabio Capello dislikes the idea of players diving but admitted he would not "kill" one of his squad if they did it to win a match.

The England boss was speaking at the Global Sport Summit in London.

Capello said: "I don't like the divers, never. The spirit of sport is to win correctly.

"Sometimes the decision of the referees is not good but I don't like divers."

Asked what his reaction would be if one of his players dived to win a match, he replied: "I cannot kill him but I don't like this, I don't like diving."

This headline is misleading, it gives the impression that Capello will tolerate a "dive" in some circumstances, which is not true based on his statements.

Just because Capello says, he cannot kill one of his players if they dived, doesn't mean he will accept it if they did it to win a game. He made it very clear that he doesn't like divers; so why make more out of it?
