Canberra Stadium and Central Coast Mariners are in talks about holding two A-League matches in the nation’s capital this season.

Two Mariners matches, against Perth Glory on September 4 and Adelaide United on October 31, are being considered to be moved to Canberra whilst the club’s home ground in Gosford undergoes maintenance.

Mariners chief executive Lyall Gorman confirmed that discussions were taking place.

''There is a window where we look like we need to move two games away and we are very happy to have discussions with Canberra and it is one of a few options we are looking at,'' Gorman said.
