Campbell set to turn down Arsenal offer for Newcastle United

Sol Campbell is set to join Newcastle United on a free transfer after turning down a one-year deal with Arsenal.

The 35-year old returned to Arsenal at the start of this year for a short-term deal and it was expected he would remain at Emirates Stadium for a further season.

But he has decided to snub Arsene Wenger and will join the Magpies on a year-long deal worth £35,000 a week.
