Campbell: I can be Arsenal’s Maldini

Sol Campbell says he could be Arsenal's answer to Paolo Maldini.

Maldini retired from AC Milan last May at 40.

And Campbell said: “People like him are an inspiration.

“I’m in better shape than I was in the summer, big- time. I’ve really applied myself. The Arsenal staff have done wonders. If the club keep on training me like this, then I can keep going for two or three years playing real good quality.

“I’m really fresh and raring to go, with a real craving for the ball.”

Harsh! Maybe fair though, hard to tell as he
hasn't played in a decent side for a couple of
years.

COULD be good for England too (more as
back-up/mentor) as well as for the Gunners.
He and Terry could be awesome for England
and with Gallas at The Emirates would be
watertight.

A good signing however you look at it.

More like arsenals answer to gary gliter!

You really dont have a scoobies do you. You live in your own little world how can u say u can be asrenals maldini i never saw maldini move from inter to ac milan. The other thing is maldini was still world class at 35 the only contract you were offered after leaving portsmouth was fucin notts county. Ur a temp for 6 months as sendoros is even worse than u. How many games do you think you will actually play if gallas or vermalun dont get injured. You are a mercenary u are no way near fit enuf to compare urself to maldini *****!!
