Burnley midfielder Wade Elliott is sweating on an FA charge.
The Sun says Elliott appeared to plant his foot into the face of Blackburn's French defender Pascal Chimbonda during Rovers' 3-2 win in the East Lancs derby.
The flashpoint came shortly after Robbie Blake's opener for the Clarets but was not spotted by ref Chris Foy.
Now the Merseyside official will be asked to look again at the incident and decide if it should have been a red card.
