Burnley's Elliott: Man City point no big thing
Burnley midfielder Wade Elliott insists drawing at Manchester City is no reason to pat themselves on the back.
It was the Clarets' first away point as a Premier League club.
But Elliott says: “I wouldn’t like to say we’ve cracked it because as soon as you do that you’re opening yourself up to all sorts.
“I wouldn’t say anything’s clicked as such because every point we win is difficult. I don’t think we’ve suddenly discovered any magic formula and we’re going to win every game, but I think we’ve always known we were capable of getting points away from home and the result at City will back that up and justifies that belief we had.”
He added: “I suppose it’s a sign of progress and how far we’ve come that we can go to Manchester City with the status they’ve currently acquired and we can come away a little bit disappointed with a 3-3 draw "We can look at things we can improve on and lessons that we can take forward into games we’ve got coming up.”
