Burnley ahead of West Brom for Sheffield Wednesday keeper Grant

West Bromwich Albion face missing out on Lee Grant.

West Bromwich Albion face missing out on Lee Grant.

The Daily Mail says Sheffield Wednesday are under pressure to accept a £1m Burnley bid for goalkeeper Grant after making eight summer signings.

The opening offer of £750,000 was rejected but negotiations are continuing.

West Bromwich are also keen on Grant, 27, but Burnley boss Brian Laws, who took him to Hillsborough from Derby, is favourite and a deal is likely.
