Brown warns Portsmouth boss Grant: Fans want to see us win

Portsmouth midfielder Michael Brown has told manager Avram Grant he's not prepared to roll over for the remainder of this season.

Grant has toyed publicly with the idea of fielding weakened line-ups following their nine point deduction for entering administration.

But Brown said: "We will try and win the game. We've got to remain professional and give it our best shot.

"We have to go and win as many games as we can from now on in.

"The supporters will pay their money and we are going to try to beat Hull and finish with as many points as possible. Wembley is a good thing. We have nine games left and something to play for to get into that team."

Grant has considered quitting Fratton Park in the wake of Pompey's financial meltdown and was among the candidates to succeed Phil Brown at Hull.

But midfielder Brown said: "I cannot see Avram walking away."
