Brisbane Roar coach Ange Postecoglou admits that he would like to take on an Adelaide United side who have their best eleven available tomorrow night.

The new league leaders meet the team they replaced at the summit at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday but the Reds will be without young gun Mathew Leckie and Travis Dodd who are both out injured.

Postecoglou said it was a shame to be taking on Adelaide without their best team as it may take some gloss away from the encounter.

“It is really disappointing for Adelaide and it is disappointing for the league," said Postecoglou.

"Matty is an exciting player and as a coach you want to win matches of football but you would much rather he would be playing to be brutally honest.

"You want to beat Adelaide at their best."

The Roar take on the Reds at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday, November 6 – kick-off is at 8:15 local time (9:15 AEDT).
