Lee Bowyer is considering his future at Birmingham City future.
The Daily Express says Bowyer, 34, is unhappy at the lack of a regular first-team place at St Andrews, and wants to end his career on a high.
He figured in Birmingham’s Carling Cup shoot-out success over Brentford, even though he missed his penalty, but is unlikely to start the Premier League showdown against rivals Aston Villa on Sunday, and knows he is falling down the pecking order.
The impressive form of Craig Gardner and Keith Fahey, and the return to fitness of Garry O’Connor after lengthy injury problems, have combined to restrict Bowyer’s appearances for a full 90 minutes, and he has completed only four league games this season.
