Bowen: Man City buzzing ahead of big derby
Manchester City No2 Mark Bowen admits the place is buzzing ahead of this weekend's derby.
Bowen told City's website: "Everybody's really looking forward to it. We will have a gameplan come the day. We've stuck to our gameplan so far and it's gone well for us. We'll go with confidence.
"There's a real buzz about the derby, especially coming on the back of the Arsenal performance. It's been said already that there is an excitement around the place, an expectation. There's a heck of a lot of confidence around the training ground.
“Arsenal has put a marker down for us. That was a key game. There were question marks going in, the knockers were saying we hadn't played a top-four side yet. But I think that's put that one to bed.
"More than anything, it's important to have the start that we've had with new players coming into place - it was important they gelled quickly. It's given us a real foundation, a platform to go on from here."

The ref will yellow card one of our defenders of bacon face's choice within 6 minutes, the ref will give the scum a penalty and send off one of our players for a mild tackle. Scholes will do enough filthy tackles for 5 red cards but will not be sent off. Therefore it will be a bloody miracle if we win this game with so many players ruled out through injury...even against a corrupt ref our first choice side would truly hammer the scum. But as things stand for this game the ref can win it for them. This is the EPL where the ref will be a CORRUPT BASSTARD as usual.
We will be fielding a virtual reserve side but I think on the back of the Adebayor victimisation there will be a backlash from the boys. Come on you mighty blues.
Lets hope we batter them
