Bolivia international Moreno joins Wigan
Wigan have confirmed that Shakhtar Donetsk striker Marcelo Moreno has joined them on a six-month loan, reports Sky Sports.
The deal is subject to the 22 year old being granted a visa and international clearance.
"We knew we needed more competition in the forward area and now we have Victor Moses and Marcelo Moreno," Roberto Martinez told the club's official website.
"Shakhtar paid €9million for him 18 months ago, which shows you how highly he is regarded, and he has all the ingredients to become a big player in this country.
"He still needs to find his feet in Europe, but we are confident that this will be at Wigan.
"He is young, a superb athlete, good in the air, technically good with both feet and he will add something new to the squad."
Moreno added: "Roberto Martinez sold the club to me and I am determined to come to England and make an impression.
"I want to do everything I can to get in the team and I am now looking forward to meeting all my new team-mates and fighting for my place."
