Blackburn Rovers are moving for Camel Meriem.

The Mirror says Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce is ready to snap up former Monaco midfield star Meriem - after he missed out on a move to his old club Bolton.

Free agent Meriem was at Blackburn for training and talks yesterday and hopes to be offered a deal to join Allardyce's squad for the rest of the season.

Meriem spent a couple of days at Bolton but boss Gary Megson decided against him because he is 'too similar' to players he's already got at the club.
