Blackburn boss Allardyce says he should still be in charge of Newcastle

Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce believes he should still be in charge of Newcastle United.

His one regret is that he was not allowed to finish the job at Newcastle, where he was sacked by owner Mike Ashley.

"If he had been a little more patient at Newcastle, I’m sure they would have been in a much better position than they are now," said Allardyce. "My track record would tell you that eventually we’d have been in the top eight or better within a couple of years."

What did he do at Bolton? Saved them from relegation every season and got to the league cup final only to be beaten by Middlesbrough. Sorry Geoff but Allardyce was worse than Souness. His buys were a complete waste of money and his style of football is boring.

Only good thing Ashley has done.

We were playing awful football under Allardyce.

Trying to draw 0-0 all the time.

Clean sheets were more important than goals.

Can't stand the man or his style of football.

Souness was worse but only just.

Glad he's gone
