Blackburn boss Allardyce: Kalinic looks mean geezer after gym work

Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is expecting more from Nikola Kalinic this season after a summer in the gym.

Kalinic scored in the 1-0 win over Everton on Saturday.

"We've done core weights with him," said Blackburn manager Allardyce, of the £6million signing from Hajduk Split.

"He was like a little boy when he first came. We've tried to turn him into a man. He takes some stick, he's one mean man - and will get stronger."
