Birmingham's Carsley slams Liverpool 'diver' Ngog

Birmingham midfielder Lee Carsley has accused Liverpool striker David Ngog of cheating by diving and winning the penalty which saw Liverpool secure a point in the 2-2 draw at Anfield.

Carsley is in no doubt the French striker dived.

He told the Daily Telegraph: "I was absolutely nowhere near him.

"It is a joke. I knew I did not touch him and I told the referee to book me or send me off, because it would have made me feel better.

"I am sure [Ngog] has a family, and if I went home after doing that I would be embarrassed.

"You're supposed to be setting children an example and that is just an embarrassing case of cheating. But he has taken a chance and got his team a point so I am sure they will be patting him on the back."
