Birmingham eyeing Rangers keeper McGregor

Birmingham City are eyeing Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor.

The News of the World says the Ibrox shot-stopper may quit Glasgow for personal reasons, and Alex McLeish would offer a fresh start.

McLeish is resigned to losing on-loan England international Joe Hart at the end of the season as Manchester City see his future at Eastlands.

McGregor, 28, was caught up with Barry Ferguson in the notorious boozegate scandal a year ago, after which he was banned from representing Scotland.

But McLeish has successfully rehabilitated Ferguson into one of the Premier League's outstanding performers this season, and will believe he can have the same positive impact on McGregor.

Better than Gordon? Aah thats why he has like what...3/4 caps for Scotland huh? lol...keep dreaming.
Just because McGregor played for Rangers and Gordon for Hearts doesn't make him the better keeper mate, sorry.

I agree mate,I think Walter and the board are fed up with his off the field antics,he's a very good keeper, the fee you mentioned is about right if Ellis takes over,if not, Big Eck will try his luck with half,£3.5/4 million,as a replacement,we have a capable one in Neil Alexander, bring in a back up,young Tuffey,a Northern Ireland International, currently with Partick Thistle has been mentioned around Glasgow.

Walter will sell MCgREGOR AS HIS ANTICS WILL HAVE NOT IMPRESSED HIM OFFIELD AND HE SHOULD GET THE FEE HE IS WORTH IF WE ARE TAKEN OVER BY THEN BY ELLIS - 7-8 MILL IS A DECENT PRICE AS HE IS A SMOKING KEEPER AND CRAIG GORDON WENT FOR 10 MILLION AND I WOULD SAY McGREGOR IS BETTER NOW - I DONT WANT HIM TO GO BUT IF WE HAVE NEW OWNERS WALTER WILL GET CASH ANYWAY PLUS THE McGREGOR AMOUNT CAN GET HIM ANOTHER GREAT GOALIE AND HE WILL KNOW ALREADY WHO HE WOULD GO AFTER - HE WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO BUY A LEFT WINGER AND LEFT BACK AND MAYBE 1 OR 2 OTHERS TO BOLSTER THE SIDE - BUT FIRST WE MUST CONCENTRATE ON KEEPING THE STARS WE HAVE ! JUST MY VIEWS BEARS
