Birmingham boss McLeish says Europe still a target

Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish believes they can qualify for the Europa League.

But Big Eck insists his side, who entertain Everton today, are not serious contenders - unless his strikers ignite.

Cameron Jerome has seven goals this term, James McFadden three and Christian 'Chucho' Benitez just two.

McLeish said: "The statistics tell you that teams who get to Europe have three or four players on plenty of goals - and we don't have that.

"If we get Cameron up to 15 and McFadden and Chucho pitch in with six or seven each then we could get to Europe.

"But it's asking a lot to win 1-0 every week."
