Besiktas say pursuit of Man City winger Robinho now over

Besiktas say their pursuit of Manchester City star Robinho is over.

Fanatik says following their capture of Real Madrid legend Guti, Besiktas are now focused on bringing in a big-name striker.

Besiktas spokesman Mete Duran announced yesterday that Robinho was "now off the agenda".

"We did seriously discuss him, but Guti's arrival has changed our thinking," he said. "Talks about his transfer are now over."
