Benjani takes parting shot at Man City
Former Manchester City striker Bejani Mwaruwari has taken a parting shot at the club.
The 32-year old Zimbabwean, who joined Blackburn Rovers during the summer, said the money culture of the club made life very difficult and changed players perspectives of things.
"Yes, it seemed like that and behind the scenes, there is no trust,” he said.
"I would prefer to play for a club where you are being trusted and you trust everyone around you."
Benjani was earning around £50,00o a week at Eastlands after his big money move from Portsmouth in 2008 but said that money is not the be all and end all.
“It sounds great, but in football money is not everything. What is needed is people who can hang around and love you to be there,” he added.
"Sometimes you are loved to be there because of money, which is not good. I would prefer to be here at Blackburn without having all those facilities, be happy and trust everyone around you."
