Benitez: I can keep Torres at Liverpool

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is confident of keeping hold of striker Fernando Torres.

Torres’s revelation that he will consider his future at the end of the campaign has come as a blow.

But Benitez said: “We don’t want to sell Fernando. I can talk with him and I am sure everything will be fine. I know what Fernando said, but he is frustrated. I am sure we can keep him happy.”

Torres has demanded that Liverpool sign “four or five” world-class players. But Benitez added: “We have better players than we have been given credit for and without some injuries we would be in a better position. I don’t think we need so many players.”

Benitez should let go of torres. Torres should dicide whether to stay back at anfield or come to stamfordbridge but to me chelsea is a better place for him.

does it mean the squad he now plays with is not 'world class'??? after rafa spent all those $$$ still playing with handful of good players.... the owners must ask themselves... wtf??

this is the reason why liverpool r keeping benitez..,, if he leaves torres is gone
