Barcelona's Marquez calls Real Madrid to punish Guti

Barcelona defender Rafael Marquez has called on Real Madrid to punish midfielder Guti.

Marquez is aware of Guti's flare-up with Real coach Manuel Pellegrini during their Copa del Rey thrashing by little Alcorcon.

"Any player who does not show respect to his boss should be fined or punished," declared Marquez when quizzed about the controversy.

Meanwhile, the defender revealed he was close to putting pen to paper on a new deal to 2012.

"For me there is no problem," he said. "There's only minor things, both sides have practically agreed."

he plays like crap now. he's no longer the Guti of the 90's. and yet he has the gall to act like a superstar all through the years. and imagibe this: central midfielders like Makelele, Sneijder, Cambiasso and Mata sold away, but Guti is STILL AT THE CLUB.
remember, van der Vaart is not even considered good(are they serious?!), but Guti is STILL PLAYING REGULARLY.

Guti is a big problem.I think he is surviving because of politicians in the club administration..as we have seen him fighting with cassillas, juande ramos and little known players of realmadrid .
