Barcelona star Ibrahimovic stormed out of Arsenal trials
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Wed, 03/31/2010 - 11:40
Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic could easily have been leading the line for Arsenal at the Emirates tonight.
The Mirror says Ibrahimovic is desperate to prove a point to Arsenal - and silence his English critics.
The Sweden striker, 28, the third most expensive player in football history, had a spell at Arsenal 10 years ago but stormed out when he was asked to play in a trial match rather than being offered a contract.

It's not a big mistake by Ibrahimovich. I think he made the right decision. I'm an Arsenal fan but i think he's the type of player who wouldn't blossom in a reserved or a youth team. He went to Ajax, played regulary (c'mon guys he's not going to get that in Arsenal at the time, not when maybe Ian Wright? and Bergkamp were at the club.) We're talking about a good 10 years ago. But you've got to applaud him for making a brave decision, and he's a champions league winner, and he's never short of a medal every team he went. Ajax, Inter and Barcelona.
Rofl @ the Arsenal fans. He's won lots of trophies in Holland and Italy in that 10 years and is at the current European and World Champions... I would hardly consider his decision back then a bad move.
by "floating around clubs" he actually won 6 consecutive league titles....what would he have won had he played at arseanl? a couple of Fa cups?
