Barcelona signing Mascherano: Liverpool broke promises

Barcelona signing Javier Mascherano has hit out at former club Liverpool.

The Argentinian joined the Catalan club for around £18million after forcing his way out of Liverpool, allegedly refusing to play against Manchester City.

However, he blamed the club for the breakdown in relations, accusing them of breaking promises.

The Guardian quotes him as saying: "When they started to involve my family and to say things that didn't make sense, I obviously suffered.

"They'd promised me something for a whole year and they never fulfilled their promise. And that didn't have anything to do with my family or anything else. When you read or hear lies, you obviously get angry."

You get your wish to join Barcelona, now why dont you just shut up and concentrate on your football?!
Heartless fellow, dont forget it was Liverpool that revive your career!! You were gonna rot in the reserve when Liverpool came to the rescue!

Its quite bad that you and youre family suffered with us, that is very serious and we are extremely sorry if that is the situstion. I however suggest that you get on with your life and stop looking back, if you feel like venting please do, but don't expect us to forgive you for your AWOL situation... that is totally unforgiveable since we got hammered 3-0

I am sure that youre family will enjoy spain, if they were not willing to give Liverpool a chance only because they didn't have the will to learn English, wich is very Greek to me. I'm sure they'll recover but I not so sure you will unless you buy a pillow to sit on for the next few years on the bench..

mascherano u are already forgotten. U have been an average player at all the clubs uve played at. People wont remember u as a club icon, they wont even remember u. Do u know why that is? U dont have any heart or loyalty as a player. The only thing u are loyal to is cash. So enjoy it while it lasts because you will always be just another player, a nobody! Ps. Noddy is gay!
