Barcelona Guardiola: There is Messi, then daylight, then everyone else

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola says Lionel Messi stands alone as the world's best.

Messi was outstanding for Barca in their thrashing of Panathinaikos last night.

Guardiola enthused: "After missing the penalty, Messi was hurting. He has such self-determination, he is hurt when things don't go his way .... he's the best in the world by such a difference that it has no name.

"Everyone respects him. We must put him where he feels comfortable to develop his best football.

"He likes to train. He is very nice guy, low profile, has it all. There are very good players, but he is above. Look at how he scores his goals. It is impossible to doubt him."
