Barcelona attacker Thiago Alcántara has suffered a knee injury.

Thiago will undergo scans today under the supervision of Barca medical chief Ramon Cugat.

Barca coach Pep Guardiola had planned to utilise Thiago in midseason as he prepared to lose the likes of Seydou Keita and Yaya Toure to the African Nations Cup.
