Bale thanks Spurs fans for taxi-for-Maicon chant

Tottenham winger Gareth Bale has thanked White Hart Lane fans for their support last night during victory over Inter Milan.

Once again, Bale tormented the so-called best right-back in the world, with Maicon reduced to what appeared a quivering wreck by full-time.

Long before then, Spurs fans were singing "Taxi for Maicon!" - something that did not go unnoticed by Bale and his team-mates.

"A few of the lads were on about it after the match," said the 21-year-old Wales star, who admitted he had never known an atmosphere like it.

He said of the supporters: "They were unbelievable. They acted as a 12th man. They have been fantastic all season and we capped it off for them tonight. It was a special night."

what to an ageing team without Scholes and Giggs,that has to rely on a petulant cheating Nani who hopefully the refs will see through and also the small matter of at least 50 million,where's that coming from the yellow and gold people putting their hands in ther pockets?? COYS!

Taxi for maicon more like cart horse for maicon how can anyone say he is the best right back in the world, Bale has so much talent he is only going to get better and better so stay away Man u, Barca, Man city and chelski scum Spurs are a rising team who will build the team around him ! Remember as Harry said SPURS are NOT a poor club !
