AZ Alkmaar midfielder Brett Holman says he is loving life in Holland and is not about to leave despite reports he was set for a move to Scotland.

The Australian international has been linked with Scottish champions Rangers in recent weeks following his stellar performance at the World Cup, but he insists he knows nothing about a potential move and is simply preparing for another season in Holland.

“So far the Rangers talk is all rumours,” Holman told the Inner West Courier. “I’ve had no offers from other clubs, so I’m back at AZ pre-season and looking forward to it.

“The Dutch life is great, I’ve been here a long time so I’m used to the lifestyle now.”

Holman added that he feels a slight sense of regret after Australia’s early World Cup exit as he ponders what could have been.

“I think in a difficult group we did well, it was unfortunate that we conceded too many goals in the first game because I believe we could have gone through the group stage,” he added.
