Atletico Madrid management are attempting to convince Maxi Rodriguez to accept an offer from Tottenham.
AS says Spurs have made a formal approach to Atletico for the Argentina international and the Madrid giants are desperate to do business.
Atletico need the cash to fund their own transfer plans, but the problem is that Maxi is reluctant to move to Spurs given their lack of European football for next season.

I agree with JohnM. If the player doesn't want to be at Spurs we'll end up with another judas like Berbatov. Harry needs to bring in people with a passion to play for us. Not people that are always likely to use the old "I never wanted to be here anyway" excuse.
If he doesn't want to be at Spurs, then we dont want him here
thats what they said when torres left, but theyre still playing in european stages.
