Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo cannot believe fans are planning protests for the weekend.

He said: "They need to show there is a reason for it. Today there is no reason to protest.

"This team is playing in the Champions League, ranked in the top four and has a great future ahead. The demonstration should be held to thank us!

"I do not think about those who organized this. Nor do I understand those who criticize when we've managed to keep our great players at this club."
