Atletico Madrid president Cerezo beaming after Barcelona shock

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo was beaming after victory over Barcelona.

It was Barca's first defeat in the Liga and Cerezo was thrilled with the performance.

"Today I can say that we are the only team that has beaten the world champions," said Cerezo. "How did we do it? We're Atletico Madrid. Sometimes we play well and sometimes we don't."

He added: "I've always said Real Madrid start the season nine points clear of everyone else. The three when they play at the Vicente Calderon, the three when we go to the Bernabeu and the three when Barca come here."
