Aston Villa to trump Celtic for Tottenham striker Keane

Aston Villa are eyeing Tottenham striker Robbie Keane.
The Mirror says Villa are favourites to land Robbie Keane this summer - as Celtic boss Tony Mowbray faces up to losing the striker.
Spurs hitman Keane, 29, has been a big success on loan at Parkhead, where he has scored eight goals in eight games.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp wants to sell the forward in the summer as he has now decided to keep Roman Pavlyuchenko.
But Celtic cannot afford a permanent deal for the £9million-rated ace, who earns around £65,000-a-week.
That has let in Villa, whose wage structure can accommodate Keane.

Why not stay and become a hero and get European games.
Villa will only get Uefa cup at best
yes.. I prefer Pavlyucenko better.. Lucky its not him leave in during the Jan window..
Totally agree Alfie, Robbie should stay north of the border. He has given good service to Spurs over the years so why not guarantee himself Champions League football next year enjoy the latter years of what quite truthfully has been a good career for the lad.
Good luck to you Robbie and thanks :-)
