Barcelona sports chief Andoni Zubizarreta insists their squad is deep enough to compete in all competitions.
Barca have drawn minnows AD Ceuta in the first round of the Copa del Rey.
Zubi said: "If we look at the calendar, with the squad that we have and with several players from the 'B' squad, we have the ability to compete at a very high level in each and every one of our competitions.
"Our squad is balanced, and the coach has the players he thinks are appropriate in every game and every competition."
